Guinea To Host SL-Benin AFCON Encounter

Sierra Leone will host Benin at the ‘Stade Du 28 Septembre’ in Guinea-Conakry on 30th March 2021 in the African Cup of Nations Group L qualifier, days after their away tie at the Sesotho Stadium in Lesotho.

According to report, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has, in a correspondence dated Thursday 4th, March 2021, approved the ‘Stade Du 28 Septembre’ in Guinea Conakry proposed by the Sierra Leone Football Association for the country’s final match in the ongoing 2021 AFCON Qualifiers against Benin on Tuesday March 30th, 2021.

This change of venue came as a result of CAF’s recent ban of the Siaka Steven Stadium in Freetown from hosting any international match due to failure to meet the CAF stadium requirements.
