Guinean Businessman Dragged to Court

Mohammed Bah has made his second appearance before Magistrate Hannah Bonnie of Magistrate Court on Pa Demba Road in Freetown.
He was allege by police that he obtained the sum of Le 2.5M from Fatmata Linet Kargbo pretending that he was sent by Ekudayo Thorpe to collect the said money knowing same to be false.
The accused was arraigned before the Magistrate on one count of obtaining money by false pretences contrary to section 32(1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
The court details states that the accused person on Friday 30th August 2019 at Gberie junction Grafton in Freetown, with intent to defraud, obtained Le2.5M from Fatmata Linet Kargbo pretending that he was sent by Ekudayo Thorpe to collect the said sum
The witness was absent in court and the prosecutor, Inspector Donald Taylor sought for a date.
Accused remanded and the matter was adjourned to 4th next month.
