By Richard Kemoh

Speaking on the Free Education flagship project initiated by the President, on Friday 1st June 2018, the Honorable Member of Parliament for Constituency 113 in the western area urban, Rugiatu Rosy Kanu, called on the Minister of Education, who will be rolling out the scheme, to ensure that they follow up on the school materials that would be given to pupils to ensure that they are completely free of cost.

She said this while taking part in the five day parliamentary debate in the Well of Parliament.

Hon Rugiatu Rosy Kanu also called on government to thoroughly look into the issue of building more school structures in different communities and work with the various Paramount Chiefs in the distribution of school materials.

She equally urged the government to urgently consider the training of more teachers and improve on their terms and conditions of service. This, according to her, will encourage them to do well, if not the scheme would not succeed.

The female MP recounted that, countries that wish to develop always embark on the Agricultural sector, noting that the speech has very good intentions but hoped the intentions will be implemented to the letter.
