In America: Bill Gates Looks Forward To Meeting President Bio, CIO David Sengeh

Must read

Bill Gates, American businessman and IT guru, has praised Sierra Leone’s and Africa’s first and youngest Chief Innovator, Dr. David Sengeh, as, according to him, “David has walked the walk”.

The American praised David Sengeh, whom he noted wrote his Ph. D thesis on making prosthetics more comfortable for amputees and was recently appointed the first Chief Innovation Officer in Africa and Sierra Leone just at 31 years.

Bill Gates noted that he is looking forward to sharing a stage with the CIO and the new President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, at this year’s Goalkeepers 18th Session in America.

President Bio, during his campaign, had expressed keen interest in using science and innovation to transform the country and the appointment of Dr. David Sengeh, under the Office of the President, was to further drive this commitment. The meeting with Bill Gates will further explore more opportunities for shoring this dream.

The CIO has reportedly had discussions with Bill Gates around what possible areas of cooperation will be arranged with a number of universities in Sierra Leone.
