In Bo… Prince Harding expresses unflinching Support for President Bio

By Ralph Sesay
The erudite Chairman and Leader of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s party, Dr. Alex Prince Harding, has quite recently while addressing huge SLPP supporters in Bo pledged his unflinching support to President Bio and urged supporters to be calm and support the President for the development and progress of Sierra Leone.
Dr. Prince Harding aka ‘Bullet’ was recently sacked by the President as Chairman of the National Telecommunications Commission (NATCOM) and replaced with Alhaji Fouad Sheriff.
There were speculations that Dr. Prince Harding had fallen out with the President just after the March, 2018 elections and that his position as Chairman of the SLPP was being threatened by the entrance into the race of Batilo Songa, the Organizing Secretary and quite recently Dr. Momodu Koroma, the party’s deputy flag bearer in the 2007 elections.
Dr. Prince Harding has refused to speak on his sacking, but has called on the mammoth crowd that had turned out to receive him in Bo to be calm and support the President as he drives the national agenda to develop Sierra Leone.
He has damned insinuations from both the opposition and detractors that his sacking would undermine the peace and tranquility in the party.
Both Prince Harding and Batilo Songa are being investigated by the Sierra Leone Police in Bo for the skirmishes that occurred at the recently concluded NEC meeting in Bo in which a vehicle was intercepted with machetes and other offensive weapons.
The SLPP says it would appropriately deal with anyone found culpable of having fermented the Bo violence.
Twenty two (22) supporters including the Chairman for SLPP in Kenema District are also on bail pending police investigations.
