Minister of State, eastern region, Andrew Anusu Fatoma, has called on MDAs that are working in the eastern region to present a comprehensive and credible report of their past actions and action plans to his office.
Addressing the various representatives of MDAs in his first inaugural meeting, the minister emphasized on the issue of punctuality to work which, he noted, is a directive from His Excellency the President. He disclosed that he will be doing on the spot checks at any time to the respective offices of the MDAs within his region to ensure that this directive is complied with at all times, noting that, he is representing the President in this part of the country.
He made it clear that, he will ensure that the President’s dream of the New Direction is achieved in that part of the country. Mr. Fatorma called on all MDAs to put together all their reports and present them to his office since, according to him, the outgoing minister was not able to hand over a report of the status of the region to him in writing. The report, he noted, will help him to be in a sound footing to begin his work in the region.
He called on MDAs, like Ministry of Education, Lands, SALWCO and Mines, amongst others, to provide him their areas of operation in the region and names of the officials who are manning those locations. He also called on the MDAs to work together for the development of the region, while assuring them that his office is always open to everyone.
The various MDAs representatives present agreed and promised to present their reports to the Minister. They also pleaded with the Resident Minister to continue having such meetings as, according to them, it will motivate them to work hard.
