Sierra Leoneans were taken aback last night when a high-court document news circulated in the Social Media that three individuals namely ,the former Vice President Victor Bocakarie Foh, former Special Coordinator on Hajj Affairs ,Sheik Sahid Kamara alias ‘Shekito ‘in the Office of the former Vice President and former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Social Welfare ,Gender and Children’s Affairs ,Mr. Abubakar Carew have been charged to Court on four count charges of Conspiracy to commit a corruption offence, misappropriation of funds and other related offences .
All four individuals according to the circulated court document are to appear court on the 30th July,2018 .As the news spread all over social media the Anti-Corruption Commission is yet to make a statement to confirm that these individuals have been indicted for the hajj gate scandal .
It could be recalled some two years ago the ACC was investigating the alleged Hajj Scandal involving certain APC ministers and officials.
A very close source within the ACC and the Judiciary has intimated this medium that none of these so called indictes have been served or officially notified of such a development as we go to press.
