Keystone Bank provides Succor for Children at SOS Village

Keystone Bank has on Thursday 19th December 2019, donated food items as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to the SOS Children’s Village at Lumley, West of Freetown.
Anita Thomas, Branch Manager, Keystone Bank, Rawdon Street, Freetown and a cross-section of the Management of the Keystone Bank, noted that they were happy as a bank to donate to the kids at the village during this festive season ten bags of rice, ten jerry can rubbers of cooking oil, and three bags of beans.


She entreated staff at SOS Children’s Village to use the items for the purpose for which they were donated.
Francis Turay, one of the recipients of the food items thanked Keystone Bank on behalf of his colleague students and wished the bank a Happy Christmas and Happy New Year.
Lansana Juana, a Social Worker at the SOS Village while receiving the food items on behalf of the Children at the SOS Children’s Village, noted that the items donated were the right items as they are used on a daily basis by the school.


Beans and rice, according to the social worker, remains the most needed items at the village and hence the donation by Keystone Bank was timely and mostly welcomed by the leadership of the SOS Children’s Village.
He concluded by indicating that at this time of the year most reputable organizations donate in kind and in cash to the vulnerable groups and that the donation by Keystone Bank to the school was therefore not a surprise for them.
Keystone Bank is a subsidiary of Keystone Bank, Nigeria and has been involved in several CSR activities supporting the development aspirations of the people of Sierra Leone.
The SOS Children’s village remains one of the oldest child related institutions caring for vulnerable, orphaned and destitute children.
They have over the years produced well meaning Sierra Leoneans who are today contributing to nation building.
