Le280m Theft At Guaranty Trust Bank… 4 Arraigned

Four staff at Guarantee Trust Bank at Lunsar branch Habib Kargbo, Yusuf Daramy, Lamin Kamara and John Kanu have been brought before a magistrate court in Freetown for larceny involving Le280m.

They were also similarly charged with conspiracy to commit larceny.

The accused persons made their first appearance last Friday before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road court.

Police alleged that the accused, on Tuesday 2nd  January,  2024 at Lunsar branch, conspired to  defraud Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB)  Sierra Leone Limited of Le280m.

The accused pleaded not guilty after the charges were read and explained to them, and defence counsel made an application for bail on behalf of the accused persons which was granted.

The matter will come up again on 13th February, and Assistant Superintendent of police Ibrahim Mansaray is prosecuting the matter.
