Magistrate Wilbri Hamida Moira John, who presides over the Ross Road Magistrate Court No. 1, has on Friday 16th July, 2021 sent Bella Kamara to the Male Correctional Centre, Pademba Road in Freetown, for allegedly murdering Ishmael Sannoh.
The incident occurred sometime in June 2021 at Samuel’s Lane, Kissy in Freetown. Led in evidence by police prosecutor Inspector P.N.G. Daramy, Prosecution Witness (PW) 1, Ibrahim Kanu, a mechanic residing at 21 Samuel’s Lane, told the court that he recognised the accused as well as the deceased and could recall the day in question.
At that point, police prosecutor Daramy sought for an adjournment on the grounds that the day was far gone, which application the Magistrate granted.
There was no legal representation for the accused; he was denied bail and remanded at the Pademba Road Male Correctional Centre in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 19th July, 2021.
