Osman Swaray has made his first appearance before Magistrate Wilbri Hamida Moira John, of the Ross Road Magistrate Court No.1, for allegedly stealing a vehicle tire valued at nine hundred thousand Leones (Le900,000), which property belongs to Hassan Sesay (complainant).
When the charge was put to the accused, he pleaded guilty. Against this backdrop, the police prosecutor, Sergeant 9874 Memunatu Turay, tendered both the voluntary caution and charged statement of the accused.
Magistrate John asked the accused what he wanted the bench to do for him. In response, the accused pleaded with Madam John to talk to the complainant to discontinue with the matter.
The accused was denied bail and remanded at the Male Correctional Centre, Pademba Road in Freetown.
The matter will come up again on the 1st April, 2021, for a ruling.
