An alleged defunct member of a clique, Sahr Steven Kabba, also a resident of Kondebotihun Section in Kenema, was attacked and stabbed to death by a rival group on Tuesday 17 July 2018 at around 23:00hrs.

According to the Police Media Unit in Kenema, the deceased was said to have been part of one clique group but later broke away and joined another group. This switching of groups led to rivalry between the two groups, some sources waded in.

The Police Media Unit said Sahr Steven Kabba was invited by his colleagues to attend a program that night, but he initially refused the invitation. However, after persistent calls he succumbed to the bait, and was drifted into a nearby field within the community where he was brutally tortured and stabbed, leaving him half dead.

Sahr Steven Kabba was later taken to the hospital where he passed off.

Further sources have revealed that the late man had enrolled at the Eastern Polytechnic though he was always found among these clique groups until he met his demise.

According to the Media Unit of the police, several arrests have been made. The police have vowed to leave no stone unturned in cracking down on cliques and gangs. The Unit said they will chase them to their hideouts to ensure that the community is weeded off these criminals.

Over ten suspects have been so far apprehended and are presently helping the police in their investigations.
