Mercury CEO Gives Prestigious Prizes To Lucky Winners

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mercury International Sierra Leone Limited, Mr. Martin E. Michael, have handed over prestigious prizes including a TVS motorbike, three 43 inch plasma TVs, a laptop, and mobile phones to seventeen (17) lucky winners. The handing over ceremony took place on Monday, 22nd July, 2024, at New Sella Spot on King Harman Road in Freetown.

Speaking during the ceremony, the CEO disclosed that the cost of the prizes is approximately one hundred thousand leones (NLe100,000). According to him, the draw or ruffle began during the Euro wherein a customer plays five leones (NLe5) and above and automatically get a raffle ticket and be among the lucky winners. At the end of the Euro, he added that they draw was done by the company for transparency.

The highest prize was the motorbike valued at NLe28,000 and the lowest were the mobile phones each valued at around two thousand five hundred leones (NLe2,500).

Mr. Michael admonished the lucky winners especially Abu Koroma who won the TVS motorbike to make use of it to get more income. He also encouraged the winners who won the laptops to use them appropriately and properly. Mr. Michael thanked the lucky winners and the press for their meaningful contributions.  Speaking during the handing over ceremony, he also advised those who won the laptops to use them appropriately and properly, but more importantly to enjoy their prizes. He assured that there is on-going raffle which should be concluded on 31st July, 2024, and the main prize is a kekeh and other prizes include mobile phones, plasma TVs among others. He hinted that come Thursday, 25th July they are going make a big announcement.

Speaking to one of the one of the lucky winners Abu Koroma he noted that when he received a call from the Mercury International he was surprised and couldn’t believe it until he went to the said office where he did the needful and they assured him of getting the motorbike on Monday, 22nd July, 2024. He said at the office the process was very transparent as he only used his identification card for the entire process.

Abu Koroma, 24, who sat this year’s WASSCE, praised the entire management of Mercury International, especially the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Martin E. Michael.
