Mobile Phone Theft… Man Jailed For 2 Years

Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Court No. 2 has sentenced one Osman Rahim Bah to two years imprisonment after being found guilty of entering into a boutique and stealing IPhone 8+ mobile worth US$900.

The accused was charged with a count of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the indictment, the accused on Wednesday 26th February, 2020 at No. 48 Adelaide Street, Freetown did steal one IPhone 8+ mobile bearing IMEI number 356115094595168 valued US$900, which is equivalent to Le9, 000, 000. 00 (Nine Million Leones), property of James Franklyn Kanyako.

The accused entered Flo Jam Fashion Boutique at No. 48 Adelaide Street, Freetown, where he was arrested, investigated and charged to court.

Inspector Francis Macauley prosecuted he matter.
