After preliminary investigations at the Magistrate Court before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Court No.2 on Pademba Road, Freetown, committed three accused person’s including Mohamed Kuyateh, Osman Sesay and Aloha Bangura who were arrested in Bo for allegedly killing Issa Kanu.
All three accused on Thursday, 14th March, 2024, made their last appearances before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Court No.2 on two counts, ranging from conspiracy contrary to law and murder contrary to section 1 of the Offences Against the Person’s Act 1861 as repealed and replaced by section 1 (a) to the schedule of the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act 2022, Act No.6 of 2022.
According to the charge sheet on count 1, all three accused persons, Mohamed Kuyateh, Osman Sesay and Aloha Bangura, on Sunday, 3rd December, 2023, at Kortoboima Village, Valunia Chiefdom, Bo District, Southern Province of Sierra Leone, conspired and with unknown persons committed a felony, to wit, murder.
Count 2 states that all three accused on the same date and place murdered Issa Kanu.
No bail was granted, and all three accused persons were committed to the High Court for continuation of their trial.
