Murder Matter Goes To High Court

By Musa Paul Feika

Magistrate Alhaji Suliaman Koroma, of the Ross Road Magistrate Court No.1, on the 30th October, 2020, has committed the ongoing murder matter, involving two accused, namely Vandi Senesis and Ibrahim Kamara, who are standing trial for allegedly murdering Abubakarr Fofanah, to the High Court.

The incident took place sometime on March 2020, at Whenzle Street Kissy in Freetown.

In his committal statement, the presiding magistrate stated that, having gone through preliminary investigation and that the prosecution has proved its case beyond all reasonable doubt, he was convinced that both accused have a case to answer at the High Court.

The accused were represented by Randy S. Bangura, from the Legal Aid Board (LAB) Sierra Leone, throughout the preliminary investigation, but bail was not granted them though several applications were made by the defense counsel.

Assistant Superintendent of Police ASP, Osman Mohamoud Bangura, was prosecuting the matter and the accused will make their first appearance at the High Court on the 3rd November, 2020.
