New SLFA President Engages Transition Committee

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Badadi Kamara, and his Executive Committee on Friday, August 8th, 2025, engaed with the newly formed Ad-Hoc Transition Committee tasked with facilitating a smooth handover into the new administration.

Chaired by Dr. Massaquoi, the committee sought clarity on its mandate and Terms of Reference to guide its work. President Kamara congratulated the members on their appointment, expressing gratitude for their willingness to serve football in this capacity.

He noted that the Transition Committee members were carefully selected based on their credible track record and professional expertise in areas such as legal affairs, accounting, administration, and compliance.

“This is new in the administration of the SLFA, and we are doing it not to witch-hunt anyone,” Kamara said. “Your job is simple but vital-review the financial records, governance structure, staffing, projects, funding, and past operations so we can understand what needs to be done to develop football in Sierra Leone.”

 In response, Dr. Massaquoi, thanked the SLFA leadership for entrusting them with the responsibility, assuring that the committee would deliver with “credibility, professionalism, and in the best interest of the game, devoid of bias.” He appealed for the full cooperation of the SLFA Secretariat staff, which will be key to the committee’s work.

Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh assured the Transition Committee of the full cooperation of the Secretariat and its unwavering support to ensure a smooth and successful process.

The Transition Committee’s mandate runs from Friday, 8th August to 22nd August 2025.
