Magistrate Marke Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No.2, yesterday detained Mariam Cole at the Female Correctional Centre for stealing one Techno mobile phone valued at two hundred and eighty thousand Leones (Le 280,000) from complainant, Fatmata Bridgette Job at Afarma Night Club, Ascension town in Freetown.
The accused was dragged to court on one count of Larceny from Person, contrary to section 14 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
The court details state that the accused on Saturday 10th August 2019 at the Afarma Night Club, Ascension Town Road in Freetown did steal from Fatmata one Techno mobile phone valued at two hundred and eighty thousand Leones (Le 280,000).
Police prosecutor, Sergeant 11406 Edna Kamara sought for a date against the backdrop that her witnesses were not present in court.
The accused was unrepresented and no bail application was made on her behalf.
The accused person was remanded in custody and the matter was adjourned to 6th September 2019 for hearing.
