Night Watch Has No Ill-Will Against President Bio

Must read

We have read with consternation the reaction to our editorial titled: “Wanted: Reality New Direction! Among other things, it was stated: ‘thus for President Bio is the World’s best travelled leader. It should come as no surprise if one day his plane collides with a flying saucer’.
A flying saucer is a disc-shaped flying craft supposedly piloted by aliens (not human beings). From the above definition, it is impossible for any earthly plane to collide with a flying saucer. It has never happened and it will never happen. Hypothetically, the plane that would collide with it has to fly into space which is impossible so the analogy is jocular though it has been taken seriously and sycophantically in a different perspective by some citizens. It is a most unlikely and unearthly wish.
The possibility of a crash or collision of jet planes or helicopters would also be very unlikely for any Head of State.
While others were wishing or saying that the President had died while on leave, we wrote in one of our editions during that period that “Wishing President Bio Dead Is Unpatriotic”
Could this same Nightwatch after a few weeks really wish President Bio Dead? What inconsistency! What will it profit the nation including Nightwatch?
In fact if such a statement was made by the opposition in Parliament there would have been laughter on the government side because it is humorous.
We believe that certain citizens are making mountains out of mole hills.
Our aim has been to constructively advice the President to keep to his manifesto and we realize that he is not infallible.
We reiterate that the flying saucer analogy was well-meaning and not a real death-wish for our beloved President. God bless Sierra Leone.
