Executive Members of the National Olympic Committee/ Commonwealth Games Association of Sierra Leone (NOC/CGA-SLE) will hold their Annual General Assembly for its membership tomorrow, Saturday 12th, January 2021 at the Country Lodge Hotel, Hill Station in Freetown.
This year’s meeting which will mark the second annual general congress under the leadership of Prince Suallay will be very important year as its mark an Olympic which the President said was always a great sporting year, while expressing his excitement over the Summer Olympics kicking off on July 26th in Paris.
“An Olympic Year is always a great sporting year. We are very excited with the Summer Olympics kicking off on July 26th in Paris. As we begin, the year our primary focus is on ensuring Team Salone delivers on the biggest sporting stage,” the NOC’s Chief stated in his New Year’s Message,
Also with five new sports namely, Baseball/softball, cricket (T20), flag football, lacrosse (sixes) and squash been officially included as additional sports on the programme for the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 (LA28).
A decision has been taken by the 141st Session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will see more participants and deliberations in this NOC’s Annual General Assembly.
