The Executive Director of the National Sports Authority, Dr. Kenneth Brima, has inspected the FIFA Artificial Turf installation in Kenema.
Dr Brima who was speaking in a joyful mood at the project site, expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders, including the Sierra Leone Football Association, Ministry of Sports, Secretary to the President, Office of the Chief Minister and the people of Kenema for what he described as ‘a dream come true.’
He said the FIFA project for Kenema was a long awaited dream, which the people are now very much happy about, as the installation of the turf will be completed this month, according to the FIFA Project Coordinator, Mark Jonkers.
The NSA boss has urged all stakeholders, especially direct beneficiaries, to use the first of its kind FIFA turf in Kenema for its intended purpose, stressing that no rallies, musical festivals and other activities are to be allowed at the venue.
