Orange Sierra Leone has on Friday 30th August 2019 distributed free Sims containing two hundred thousand Leones (Le200,000) each to fifty (50) Keke Riders as business start-ups to sell top-up to passengers boarding their Keke tricycles.

The initiative which is a novelty in the mobile industry in the country, took place at the Peace Bridge Park, Lumley, west of Freetown.

Addressing beneficiaries at the ceremony, Business Manager, Orange Sierra Leone, Ahmed Mansaray, stated that Orange is the only company within the sector that has a portfolio for every category of Sierra Leone population.

He added that some people have harbored the wrong notion that the company only partners with the rich class, but this, he noted, is not the case and that the new partnerships with the Keke riders is a testimony to dispel such negative rumours.

Mr. Mansaray said Orange Sierra Leone is seeking the needs and also advancing the aspirations of all groups of Sierra Leoneans,   irrespective of their status in society.

He assured the Keke riders that Orange Sierra Leone is initiating this partnership against the backdrop that it has trust, love and cares for them.

The new partnership, according to him, is just the beginning.

He disclosed that this is a test case and that the company will improve on the amount if at all they perform as expected.

Joseph Tengbeh, Manager, Orange Money Sierra Leone, noted that the initiative is a milestone in the long relationship between   Keke riders and Orange Sierra Leone.

He boasted that Orange-SL has done a lot in changing lives and stories across the length and breadth of the country.

He also entreated the Keke riders to put more efforts which in turn will encourage the company to improve on the initial amount.

Mr. Tengbeh also urged the Keke riders to exhibit the best behavior while putting on the Orange T-shirts bearing the Company’s logo as they are directly representing the company.

Sheka Koroma, District Chairman, Lumley Keke Riders, thanked the Management of Orange Sierra Leone for partnering with them while also assuring the company that they will put up their best and also exhibit more efforts with a view to attract more funding from the company

He continued that they are looking forward to a more fruitful relationship.
