Over Fiasco In Parliament… Fatima Bio Blames Dr. Prince Harding

In her recent rebuttal video trending on the various social media platforms, the First Lady, Fatima Bio has incriminated and implicated the former National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Dr. Prince Alex Harding for her humiliation in the Well of during the recent State Opening the Third Session of the Sixth Parliament on Thursday, 7th August, 2025.

She also accused and pointed finger at certain Members of Parliament representing the SLPP as haven being enlisted by the former SLPP Chairman to orchestrate the humiliation she felt that upon her entry in the Well of Parliament with the spontaneous outburst of the song: ‘U Coco rose ooh! How u manage so taay u Coco rose ooh!’ which according to the First Lady, ultimately warranted the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Members of Parliament to join in the spree that was solely aimed at taunted her and discredited her integrity she maintained.

“The choreographed singing appeared as if I was some outrageous woman being shamed for being seen in such a prestigious and reputable gathering,” she sadly lamented.

Parliament, she emphasized, is the Legislative Arm of the Government of Sierra Leone and it should be a place where respect shown and maintained at its best; not as a place rudeness and the discharge of profanity.

She noted that being that the entire world was watching and observing the event, she maintained what happened to her has turned out to her husband’s biggest deal for the entire country especially at a time her husband, the President was to address and update the country in respective of what his Government has done and what it will do for Sierra Leoneans.

“Unfortunately, that was the day, the former SLPP Chairman and some SLPP MPs in the Well of Parliament used to target and humiliate me. While making my way to my seat, when I turned around, I saw a former SLPP MP, Hon. Alusine Kanneh; and he cheered me up because of the rudeness they were exhibiting against me in the Well of Parliament,” First Lady lamented.

She stated categorically that she heard the former SLPP National Chairman instructing the arrant SLPP Members of Parliament to rant at her and telling those who have stood in my honour to sit down say in Krio; :We go teach am something tiday. Ee don too pass-mark,” literally meaning, we will teach her something today, she’s too much.

She said the only SLPP MP who intervened on her behalf was Hon. Rebecca Yei Kamara from Kono District.

According to the First Lady, she is not responding in order to gain social media attention, rather, it is for her to clarify the loads of misconceptions, misinformation, fake imagery and media montage all aimed at tarnishing her character and reputation.

She therefore vowed that she sit down giving the circumstance, and watch in silence while people of hate are trying destroy the name and image she has worked so hard to build over the years.
