President Bio Appoints SLPP Chairman, Scribe, Others

President Julius Maada Bio has appointed the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Chairman and Leader, Dr. Alex Prince Harding and the Scribe, Umaru Napoleon Koroma and others to key state parastatals in the country.

The release states that it has pleased his Excellency the President to appoint Dr. Alex Prince Harding as Executive Director, National Telecommunication’s Commission (NATCOM) and party scribe, Umaru Napoleon Koroma as Executive Director, National Commission for Privatization (NCP).

Other appointments, according to the release, included   Mohamed Fuad Daboh, former Deputy Director and Head of Human Resources, NASSIT. He was appointed Director General, National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT). Dr. Foday Jaward was appointed as Executive Chairperson, Environmental Protection Agency, Dr. Samuel Sangawulo Jibao, Commissioner General, National Revenue Authority, Mr. Brima Swarray, Chief Executive, National Public Procurement Authority, Mr. Joseph Simon Kapuwa, Director General, Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation, Abu Hindolo Morseray, Chairman National Assets and Government Property Commission, Dr. John Edward Tambi, Chairman, Presidential Infrastructure Initiative.

On the security front, President Bio appointed Rtd. Brigadier General John Ade Oluwole John Tucker as National Security Coordinator, Office of National Security, Mr. Ansumana Mohamed Idriss, Director General, Central Intelligence and Andrew Jaia Kaikai Esq, as Chief Immigration Officer.

Lastly the release announced the appointment of former Secretary to Cabinet and Head of Civil Service, Dr. Julius Fofanah Sandi as the new Secretary to President to replace the embattled Dennis Sandy who, some few days back, plunged the Presidency into a huge embarrassment. Mr. John Sumailah was also appointed the new Secretary to Cabinet and Head of Civil Service.
