Dr. Walton Gilpin, Managing Director for Sierra Leone indigenous and leading bank, Rokel Commercial Bank, has bagged another international award, the 2019 African Achievers Awards, to add to the numerous ones he had received in the last two years as Managing Director of the Rokel Commercial Bank.
The RCB Managing Director was awarded by the African Achievers, upon the recommendation of the Advisory Board and under authorization granted by the Board of Trustees for his Excellence in Banking and Financial Administration.
The award was conferred at the 9th edition of the AAA lectures & Honours at the House of Commons, Palace of West Minister, United Kingdom on 11th July, 2019.
The African Achievers Awards has continued to extend their warm congratulations to organizations and individuals who have distinguished themselves by delivering excellent service in their various fields of endeavours.
The African continent is proud of all the recipients of this year’s awards.
The African Achievers Awards continue to take the leading role in the continent as it has consistently honored great Africans in leadership, outstanding organizations, young achievers, community builders and captains of industries across the continent.
The annual awards are fighting to correct the negative and poor media representation of the continent by positioning and celebrating hard-work and impactful service to the continent and around the world.

This year’s awards have also featured a lecture on the potentials for diaspora investment in Africa.
Dr. Gilpin, Managing Director Rokel Commercial Bank was awarded amongst several other outstanding Africans and institutions in the field of Enterprise and Innovation, Public Affairs administration, leadership and many more.
The Rokel Commercial Bank Managing Director and his bank have continued to record both local and international awards for what they do best.
Dr. Gilpin has dedicated the numerous awards to the hard work of his staff and Board of Directors that have immensely supported him in moving the bank to an enviable position in the country’s financial sector.
