SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION OF SIX TOWNS WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS

The Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) through the Ministry of Water Resources had received allocation from the Government of Sierra Leone towards the Construction/Rehabilitation of Kabala, Kailahun, Kambia, Magburaka, Moyamba and Pujehun Water Supply Systems for the provision of portable drinking water to the inhabitants of those Towns. The Company intends to apply a portion of the funds to eligible payments under the contract for the Construction/Rehabilitation of the Six Towns Water Supply System in the following lots;

1. The Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) now invites sealed bids with their respective bid securities from eligible Bidders for the Construction/Rehabilitation of Kabala, Kailahun, Kambia, Magburaka, Moyamba and Pujehun Water Supply System for the provision of portable drinking water to the inhabitants of those Towns as shown in the table below:

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the Procurement Unit of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO), Tower Hill, Freetown, Sierra Leone. Eligible bidders may quote for more than one lot and each bidder will be eligible for award based on demonstrated capacity and value for money.

A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon the submission of a written application to the above office, and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Five Million Leones (Le 5,000,000.00) to the following account details:

3. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions are those of the Government of Sierra Leone’s Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Works.
4. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 27^th July, 2020 at 12:00 PM and must be accompanied by a bid security as indicated in paragraph 1 above.
5. A pre-bid meeting will be held on the 6^th July, 2020 at SALWACO Boardroom at 10:30 AM. Please contact +23276369269 or Email: jgalieu@salwaco.gov.sl for further clarifications. Bidders are expected to visit the sites prior to submission of their bids at their own cost.
6. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12:00 PM on 27^th July, 2020 at the SALWACO Boardroom, Tower Hill, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
