Rodney Michael Reinstated, Pledges NLe 200,000 plus 4 Motorbikes For Blackpool Relegation Battle

By Barrie Alpha

The Elders Committee of Mighty Blackpool FC has officially reinstated Rodney Michael as Chairman, amid a relentless call by the Club’s supporters who thought his absence left a conspicuous void.

The announcement followed a peace and reconciliation meeting facilitated by the club’s senior stakeholders, bringing an end to months of internal wrangling that had threatened to derail the club’s progress.

Speaking to the press after his reinstatement on Monday, June 23rd, 2025 Michael emphasized unity and a renewed focus on survival, as the team faces the daunting task of avoiding relegation with just 10 matches remaining in the Premier League season.

The sport pundit and season administrator dedicated two hundred thousand new Leones and four motorbikes to help the old club fight relegation in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League 2024-2025.

Now back with ten matches to go, Micheal stated for each game his side wins, there will be a Twenty Million Old Leones bonus. “And when you finally take us from the relegation zone, you will have four motorbikes: one for the coach, one for the captain, and the remaining two for the best two players,” he stated.

The motivation also includes sixty million old Leones if the players win their match against Bai Bureh Worriors.

“Our focus now is to climb up the table,” Michael stated. “The division within the club is over. Anyone unwilling to respect the authority of the Elders, the supporters, and my leadership is free to leave.”

Michael congratulated newly appointed head coach Abdulai Konneh and charged him with the responsibility of selecting the best players for each match going forward. “The future of this club rests in your hands and those of the players,” he said.

A five-man committee, which Michael will be part of, will be set up to assess player impact and determine the recipients of the rewards.

He called on the team to kick off their resurgence with a strong performance against SLIFA in their next fixture. “Let that game mark the beginning of a winning streak,” Michael concluded.

Mighty Blackpool, lovingly known as the “Tis Tas Boys,” will now look to turn their season around under united leadership and renewed determination.
