SALPOST Staff Residence Ransacked

One Abubakarr Conteh on Monday 3rd of August 2020, appeared before Magistrate Hannah Bonnie of Court No.1 on Pademba Road, Freetown for breaking into the house of Michael Lansana, a staff at SALPOST and stole his property.

The accused, Abubakarr Conteh is charged with two counts of burglary and larceny, contrary to Section 25 (1) and 13 (a) of the Larceny Act 1916 and malicious damage, contrary to Section 51 of the Malicious Damage Act of 1861.

According to the charge sheet on count 1, the accused, Abubakarr Conteh on Thursday, 23rd July, 2020, at No.9 Maize Terrace off King Street, Freetown with intent to steal, broke and entered into the dwelling house of Michael Lansana, staff of SALPOST and stole therein one black Giga set mobile phone, valued at six hundred thousand Leones property of Michael Lansana.

Count 2 state that the accused Mohamed Conteh on Thursday 23rd July 2020, at No.9 Maize Terrace off King Street Freetown maliciously one Giga set mobile phone, valued six hundred thousand Leones.

No bail was granted accused and was remanded in Male Correctional Services. The matter comes up on the 7th of August, 2020.

Sergeant Leslie Pratt is prosecuting the matter.
