Samura Kamara Responds To Saboteurs, Detractors

Must read

APC (All People’s Congress) presidential candidate, Dr Samura Kamara will today defeat cheap allegations made against him by saboteurs and detractors within and outside his party.
Kamara, in June 24, this year, contested with the incumbent candidate, Julius Maada Bio of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). The polls showed that the APC’s presidential candidate won the elections in the first round as shown by credible entities, but the votes were stolen by the Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mohamed Keneeui Konneh in connivance with President Bio. Konneh heads ECSL (Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone), a body mandated to conduct and supervise all public elections in Sierra Leone.
Since the election stand off kicked off, the two opposition sides have not seen eye-to-eye on issues governance and national development until the real votes are counted and published by polling stations and districts.
International and local observers too discredited the electoral process saying it “lacked transparency.”
Calls for ECSL to release the real results fell on deaf ears.
In retaliation, APC parliamentarians, mayors, chairmen and councillors refuse to take part in Bio’s government by staging a sit-at-home. Effort to get Samura and his men to congratulate and cooperate with Bio bears no fruit.
In a show of firm stance, the APC issued an ultimatum that Konneh should release the real results within six months or APC supporters took to the streets.
Events however took a sudden twists following news that filters through the public that the APC presidential candidate is secretly compromising with Bio.
Kamara was, few days ago, accused by some folks in the APC of taking bribes that amounted to USD2m from the embattled President during one of his secret visits there.
It is also alleged that the APC presidential candidate has been distancing himself from the executive and even threatened to withdraw from the party’s leadership.
The allegations against Samura Kamara came at a time pressure is mounting on him to act tough against Bio.
But, Investigation conducted by this press show that the allegations are mere false claims meant to soil Kamara’s image.
The allegations come from saboteurs and detractors who have recently formed themselves into an anti-Samura Unit ready to embark on a campaign of calumny.
This press has been intimated that the wolves who had devoured the sheep shouts wolf! wolf! in a sinister cover up of their guilt.
Some senior APC politicians accepted the bribes from Bio and later presented Samura Kamara as the corrupt man working with Bio from behind the scenes. To worsen an already polarised situation, the social media ventriloquist, Abdul Will Kamara aka Adebayor who is notorious for raining invectives on very important personalities was co-opted.
It is hoped that once he spits his venom, a cold shoulder will be given to Samura Kamara by men within his party as well as grassroot politicians from who enjoy his greatest support.
Kamara remains the people’s choice as he fights with diplomacy backed up by the international community. He served former President Ernest Bai Koroma in critical posts of Bank Governor, Finance and Foreign Affairs Minister.
He also worked in the government of President Ahmed Tejan Kabba as Bank Governor.
Samura Kamara also served the defunct National Provisional Ruling Council as Financial Secretary in the early 1990s.
He also held top posts in several inter-governmental institutions including International Monetary Fund where he was Chief Economics Officer.
The APC presidential candidate has built and maintained an unblemished service throughout the years.
If Samura had played with billions of dollars, how can he fall for a cheap bait?
The answer is simple: APC supporters should be assured that Kamara will not sacrifice the Presidency for a pittance.
