Those who were clued to their Radio and Television sets last night listening and viewing the Presidential Debate held at the prestigious Bintumani Hotel Conference Hall would now draw the conclusion that the Presidential aspirant for the Sierra Leone Peoples Party Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio stole the sum of 18 Million United States Dollars from the consolidated funds of Sierra Leone during his unpopular military and dictator junta regime in Sierra Leone between January to March 1996.
The people of Sierra Leone should be mindful when going to the polls to cast their votes on the 7th March 2018 General Elections for who they should cast their vote for. With all these embezzlements allegations Maada Bio has been accused of having the audacity and shameless to come and ask the people of Sierra Leone to vote him as a President. Maada Bio and his military cohorts or “kaki boys” as they were local known have wrecked this country during his short term of rule after overthrowing Valentine E.M Strasser. He requested for an indemnity to be signed by the Late President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah before he would hand over power to him. This is the Man who wants to rule Sierra Leone again.
The People of Sierra Leone never knew that the sum of 18 Million United States Dollars was fraudulently converted by Maada Bio until last night during the Presidential debate when he was exposed by Dr. Samura M.W Kamara of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party. And the convincing truth about this was that Dr. Samura was the Financial Secretary at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development during Maada Bio’s Dictatorial Regime.This places him in a position to know what transpired between Bio and himself as Finance Minister. The facts and records are there for all to see. Had it not been for the timely intervention of Dr. Samura backed by his international contacts at the IMF and other International Financial Institutions, Sierra Leone economy would still be in a mess and in shambles.
This is the time for the people of Sierra Leone to wake-up, think and out-rightly reject Maada Bio and his party of which he imposed himself as leader and flag bearer-The Sierra Leone Peoples Party. The people of Sierra Leone would never accept a fraudulent and corrupt President like Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio.
