Scene of Crime officer Testifies in Trespass Matter

Detective Police Constable Mohamed Sullaiman Conteh attached Ross Road Police Station has testified in a trespass matter presided over by Magistrate Alhaji Sullaiman Koroma.
Pastor Aaron is the complainant while Ahmed Tejan Kabba and Mohamed Bockarie are the accused persons.
The two accused persons are represented by Counsel Kekura.
The witness, Mohamed Sullaiman Conteh began his testimony by highlighting his duties which, he said, visiting scene of crime, taking photographs and preserving evidence among others.
Conteh recognized the accused persons and recalled 10th November 2019.
He told the court that, on the said date, he was on duty at the Criminal Investigation Department Ross Road Police Station when his co-detective, Mansaray requested him to visit a piece of land at Kissy in Freetown being the scene of crime.
Kamara said he accepted the request and that he and complainant visited the land and took snapshots.
The photos were tendered in evidence and formed part of the court records.
No cross-examination was conducted on behalf of the accused persons as defence counsel was absent during the day’s proceedings.
The police charge sheet indicates that Ahmed Tejan Kabba and Mohamed Bockarie on 10th November 2019 at Kissy, in the Freetown judicial district, in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone, unlawfully entered complainant’s land and erected a building.
Bail for the accused persons continues and the matter comes up on 31st March.
