The Sierra Leone Community has on Saturday 15th December 2018, elected a new executive to serve the community for one year depending on their performance to have them re-elected again.
Mr. Abassie Kargbo explained that he was very appreciative of the trust and confidence that the community reposed on him, by voting him as the President of the Sierra Leone Community in Turkey (SLCT).
He said he would work ardently to ensure that he contributes all he could to help the community achieve its dream. He assured the elders of the community and the general members that he will use the experience gathered over the years in Turkey to transform the organization.
The Public Relation Officer (PRO), Alusine Prince Sesay, has said that, what they need, as a newexecutive, is support from the outgoing executive and members to accomplish their goals.
He assured the general membership that, with the help of God, they will work for the community. He added that Sierra Leoneans will get the protection they require. He said they want to create an avenue of welcoming any Sierra Leonean to Turkey.
The Secretary General of the organization, David B. Conteh, told members that they want to serve the community of Sierra Leoneans, and leave a legacy where their regime will be regarded as the best
The hardworking and dynamic Chairlady,Kadiatu Hassan Kamara, said she was determined and dedicated to the organization. She said she is going to use this opportunity to call each and every Sierra Leonean to come onboard and raise the green, white and blue flag.
They Organizing Secretary, Mohamed Issa Bah, said that he was ready to work very hard to see the end of the cries of members. He assured them that the newly elected members are ready to sacrifice themselves to ensure tangible things are done by theexecutive.
The outgoing President, Dr. Osman Musa Kamara, has assured the new President and his executive that he will give them all the support they need. He called on all members to come onboard and give support to the newly elected executive.
Dr. Abu Kamara told the new executive that “This is not a paid job. Any position someone carries is a sacrifice. We are here to give you the support you need.”
