Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has issued a warning against premature election campaigning as seen permeating the media space.

The FA says it has not declared any election date.

 The SLFA expressed this warning in a press release dated February 15, 2024 since it regarded the actions as tension-provoking.

“They also influence referee decisions through a political lens, undermine the authority of Sierra Leone Football, and incite violence among football supporters at venues,” it read.

However, fans and football administrators are opposing the FA’s stance, describing it as undemocratic.
