Team Kadie and Team Wata Bombshell were crowned champions of the 2025 National Beach Volleyball Championship, held at the Africell beach Volleyball Court (Beach Road, Freetown), from Friday, 28th February – Sunday 2nd March, 2025
The three-day Championship concluded in spectacular fashion on March 2nd, delivering high-octane action, thrilling rallies, and a true showcase of Sierra Leone’s elite talent on the sands.
In a tournament that saw eight teams—four male and four female—compete for the coveted national title, fans were treated to intense battles from start to finish. After fiercely contested quarterfinals and semifinals, the female final came down to Team Kadie and Team Mayenne, while Team Wata Bombshell and Team Forcians Underrated faced off for the men’s championship.
In the women’s final, Team Kadie, featuring the unstoppable duo of Tu-Bah and Bernadette, put on a dominant display. Their clever strategy and impeccable coordination proved too much for Team Mayenne’s Frances and Iye Kaday. In a commanding 2-0 victory, Tu-Bah and Bernadette secured the national title, cementing their status as the 2025 champions.
The men’s final was equally exhilarating, as Team Wata Bombshell, led by the dynamic pair Mohamed Kamara (Starboy) and Pa Alie Jalloh (Orga Bonboy), took on Team Forcians Underrated. Wata Bombshell’s powerhouse duo showcased exceptional skill and teamwork, dispatching the Forcians’ Solomon Tucker (Solo) and Moses Jobie with a flawless 2-0 performance to claim the men’s championship.
The 2025 National Beach Volleyball Championship was a stunning display of sportsmanship, skill, and passion, highlighting the growth and excitement of beach volleyball in Sierra Leone. Congratulations to all teams for their incredible performances, and a special applause to Team Kadie and Team Wata Bombshell for their well-deserved victories
