“Behold, The Magnum Opus of Political Betrayals: EBK’s Legacy as APC’s Chairman and the Art of Burning Bridges to Roast His Successor!” By The Mental Revolutionary.

Let’s not mince words, Ernest Bai Koroma’s chairmanship of the APC was less leadership tenure and more a scorched-earth policy disguised as governance. For over 20 years, EBK didn’t just lead the APC; he looted it, sabotaged it, and then left Samura Kamara to sell the ashes as “renewal”. His Legacy? A master class in how to weaponise power to destroy his own party, while gas- lighting the nation into calling it a “legacy”. “The Ungodly Are Not So: But Are Like The Chaff Which The Wind Driveth Away. Therefore The Ungodly Shall Not Stand In The Judgment, Nor Sinners In The Congregation Of The Righteous. For The Lord knoweth the way of the Righteous: But The Way Of The Ungodly Shall Perish.”(Psalms CH. 1 V 4-6).

Phase 1: THE FINANCIAL CARNAGE: When EBK “stepped down” as chairman in 2022, he didn’t just leave the APC’s coffers empty—he turned them into a ‘financial crime scene’. Under his stewardship, the party’s treasury wasn’t mismanaged, it was systematically ransacked. Millions vanished into Bermuda Triangle of vague “campaign funds”, phantom projects, and patronage networks that began and ended with EBK’s inner circle.  By 2023, the APC wasn’t just broke—it was ‘bankrupt of credibility’, forced to beg for crumbs from a man who’d already sold his soul to the highest bidder. “Why Do The Heathen Rage, And The People Imagine A Vain Thing? The Kings Of The Earth Set Themselves, And The Rulers Take Counsel together, Against The Lord, And Against His Anointed Saying, Let Us Break Their Bands Asunder, And Cast Away Their Cords From Us”( Psalms Ch.2 Verses 1—3).

EBK’s Genius? Ensuring that every Leone, every resource, every ounce of the APC’s institutional wealth flowed through him. He didn’t just control the purse strings—he burned the purse and blamed Samura for the smoke. Want to run for office? Better kneel at EBK’s altar for “donations”. Want to mobilize voters? Pray his cronies deem you loyal enough for a trickle of cash. The APC didn’t have a funding problem—it had an EBK problem, a man who turned party finances into a personal slush fund, and then left Kamara holding an empty vault. “He That Sitteth In The Heavens Shall Laugh: The Lord Shall Have Them In Decision. Then Shall He Speak Unto Them In His Wrath, And Vex Them In His Sore Displeasure.”(Psalms Ch. 2 verses 4—5).

PHASE 2: THE PRE—ELECTION BETRAYAL: By June 2023,”EBK’s strategy” was clear: SABOTAGE THE APC, and then vanish like a thief in the night. While Samura Kamara scrambled to rally a party gutted of funds, morale, and direction, EBK was busy playing Judas. Behind closed doors, he allegedly brokered back channel deals with the SLPP, whispered promises of a “peaceful transition” to foreign diplomats, and ghosted his own party’s desperate pleas for support. His masterstroke? Positioning himself as a “neutral Statesman”, while his fingerprints were all over the APC’s electoral obituary. “Ask Of Me, And I Shall Give Thee The Heathen For Thy Inheritance, And The Uttermost Parts Of The Earth For Thy Possession. Thou Shall Break Them With A Rod Of Iron; Thou Shalt Dash Them In Pieces Like A Potters Vessel” (Psalms Chapter 2 verses 8—9)

EBK didn’t just leave Samura a sinking ship—he drilled holes in the hull and handed him a teacup to bail with. The 2023 elections were less a democratic process and more a public execution of the APC, orchestrated by the man who’d sworn to protect it. The party’s grassroots? Decimated by years of EBK’s neglect. It’s messaging? A garbled mess of Kamara’s optimism and EBK’s lingering stench in corruption. Even the APC’s campaign rallies felt like funerals for a corpse EBK had already buried. “Lord, How Are They Increased That Trouble Me! Many Are They That Rise Up Against Me. Many There Be Which Say Of My Soul, There Is No Help For Him In God. But Thou, O Lord, Art A Shield For Me, My Glory And The Lifter Of Mine Head” (Psalms Chapter 3 verses 1—3).

PHASE 3: THE GASLIGHTING GRAND FINALE: And here’s the kicker: EBK didn’t just betray Samura—he rewrote history to make it look like Kamara’s fault. While Samura fought SLPP’s electoral machinery with a budget of pocket lint and rope, EBK jetted off international summits, polishing his “elderly statesman” veneer with the same hands that strangled the APC. When Kamara dared to criticize the elections credibility, who stayed silence? EBK. When the APC needed a united front to challenge the results, who was sipping champagne in Addis Ababa? EBK. And when the dust settled, who blamed Samura for “failing to inspire”? EBK’s LOYALISTS, the same sycophants who’d spent years enabling his looting.“ Be Wise Now Therefore, O Ye Kings: Be Instructed, Ye Judges Of The Earth. Serve The Lord With Fear And Rejoice With Trembling” Psalms Chapter 2 verses 10—11).

SAMURA’S CRIME? Naively believing the APC was still a party and not EBK’s personal ATM. He wore EBK’s corruption allegations—the Messe Frankfurt scandal, the laughable “anti-graft” façade—like a crown of thorns, preaching “progress” while EBK’s ghosts haunted every speech. Kamara wasn’t just a candidate, he was a “human shield”, absorbing decades of EBK’s sins while the architect smirked from the sidelines. “Blessed Is The Man That Walketh Not In The Counsel Of The Ungodly, Nor Standeth In The Way Of Sinners, Nor Sitteth In The Seat Of The Scornful. But His Delight Is In The Law Of The Lord; And In His Law Doth He Meditate Day And Night. And He Shall Be Like A Tree Planted By The Rivers Of Water, That Bringeth Forth His Fruit In His Season; His Leaf Also Shall Not Wither; And Whatsoever He Doeth Shall Prosper”  (Psalms Chapter 1 verses  1—3).

THE LEGACY? A PARTY OF BEGGARS AND A KINGMAKER’S VANITY: Let’s call EBK’s legacy what it is: a “narcissist’s scrapbook”. He didn’t build the APC—he stripped-mined it. He didn’t mentor successors- he groomed fall guys. And when the world asked, he pointed to Samura and whispered, “HIM”. The truth? EBK turned the party into a “Zombie Franchise”, its coffers empty, its leaders neutered, and its base too traumatized to trust anyone but the man who broke them. “Hear Me When I Call, O Lord Of My Righteousness: Thou Hast Enlarged Me When I was In Distress; Have Mercy Upon Me, And Hear My Prayer. O Ye Sons Of Men, How Long Will You Turn My Glory Into Shame? How Long Will You Love Vanity, And Seek After Leasing”? (Psalms Chapter 4 verses 1—2).

Samura Kamara? He’s the tragic fool who thought loyalty could resurrect a corpse. While EBK’s legacy is scrubbed clean by the PR teams and diplomatic photo-ops, Kamara remains the APC’s eternal scapegoat, sweeping up the debris of a party that sold its soul for one man’s ego. The savage irony? EBK’s betrayal was so complete, so artistic, that even his enemies applaud him for that. “Give Ear To My Words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken Unto The Voice Of My Cry, My King, And My God: For Unto Thee Will I Pray” (Psalms chapter 5 verses 1—2).

EBK didn’t just “sell out” the APC—he auctioned its organs on the black market and billed Samura for the surgery. “Samara’s reward for cleaning up the mess”? A front- row seat to EBK’s victory lap. But hey, why blame the arsonist when you can shame the firefighter for not stopping the blaze? SLOW CLAP FOR THE GREATEST HEIST IN SIERRA LEONE’s POLITICAL HISTORY. EBK is Sierra Leones latest “King Midas of corruption”. He turned the APC into a pauper’s cult, left the treasury as empty as his promises, and still has sycophantic fans gargling his Kool-Aid like its holy water. BLESSED? It’s more like cursed with a legacy of grift and ghosted accountability. But sure, worship the man who turned “statesmanship’ into a side hustle. His “iconic status”? A masterclass in delusion. Stay Mad!! “My Voice Shalt thou Hear In The Morning, O Lord; In The Morning Will I Direct My Prayers Unto Thee, And Will Look Up. For Thou Art Not A God That Hath Pleasure In Wickedness: Neither Shall Evil Dwell With Thee”. The Foolish Shall Not Stand In Thy Sight:  Thou Hatest All Workers Of Iniquity. (Psalms Chapter 5 verses 3—5).
