Thieves in Parliament! APC MP robbed Le90M

Hon. APC Member of Parliament, Dr. Abdulai Sesay, representing Constituency 052 in Gbonkolenken Chiefdom, has on Thursday 14th November 2019 brought to the attention of the House the mysterious missing of eight million Leones and $8,000 dollars respectively in his bag.
Narrating his ordeal in the Well of Parliament under SO 23, Hon. Dr. Sesay said the money in question got missing when he left his bag with one of his colleague MPs to attend to nature in the new administrative building of Parliament.
Hon. Sesay added that he never knew that his money has got missing until when he went home in the afternoon hours.
He told MPs that the money was meant for the procurement of medical drugs for his Hospital in Makeni.
He continued that upon discovering the theft, he alerted the MP about the incident and he responded that he also left the bag just when Hon. Sesay left for the toilet.
The MP added that he was not aware about the said money.
The Hon. MP had complained to the Speaker and expressed his disappointment over the insecurity at Parliament.
Many have called for the installation of CCTV cameras in Parliament.
The Hon. Member who spoke in tears disclosed that his hospital has lots of patients seeking medical attention, adding that the culprit will pay the prize especially so when the money was set aside to save lives of vulnerable people.
Responding to the complaint, the Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Abass Bundu, acknowledged that he had received a complaint from Hon. Dr. A.B.D. Sesay with regard the theft of over Le 90,000,000.
The Speaker stated that he has directed the Clerk of Parliament and the Leader of Government Business to investigate the issue.
Many MPs have expressed consternation over the influx of newly recruited security personnel in Parliament.
They blamed the upsurge in security personnel as a problem rather than a solution.
