Three Remanded for Alleged Murder

Foday Konneh, a farmer, Abdulai Kamara alias Rasta, and Ishmael Feika, a contractor, made their first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at the Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown.

The trio faces a three-count charge of conspiracy to murder and murder, contrary to Section 4 and Section 1 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, as amended and replaced by Section 1(a) of the Abolition of Death Penalty Act 2021 (Act No. 6 of 2022).

According to police files, the accused, Feika, Konneh, and Kamara, on Wednesday, 24th September 2025, at Youth Farm, Loko Feika, Juba Hill, Freetown, conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony, to wit, murder.

It was further alleged on counts two and three that Abdulai Kamara alias Rasta and Foday Konneh, on the said date and at the same location, murdered one Yusifu Bangura.

When the charges were read, no plea was taken. The prosecution informed the bench that all necessary documents had been served to the defence which was confirmed by Defence Counsel.

Magistrate Fornah subsequently ordered that all accused persons be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre and adjourned the matter to 17th October, 2025 for further hearing.
