To Curb COVID-19… New Rules In Court

Must read

The Master and Registrar of the High Court of Sierra Leone has issued new regulations and schedule for court sittings effective today, 20th April 2010.
The new schedule, according to the Master and Registrar, will now see all the courts – 1 to 8 – holding sittings on alternate days, Monday to Thursday. On Friday only Courts No1 and 2 are allowed to use the entire court facility.
Also, the number of persons allowed to attend court hearings has been reduced. Only ten people are now allowed in the courtroom of Courts No. 1 and 2, and not more than twenty people in the other courts.
Litigants are allowed to use the vacant courtrooms as waiting room but are encouraged to observe to two-meter distancing.
Magistrates and other court officials who are not on schedule are asked to stay and work from home.
