Two Communities in Tonkohlili District Benefits from FANT-SLE DERF Project

Two communities, Mashokoh village, Magboruka and Rogbesseh in the Tonkolili district are the latest to benefit from the Football for a New Tomorrow (FANT) Sierra Leone’s Danish Emergency Relief Fund (DERF) project which includes donations, medical care and capacity building for youth.

A team from FANT-SLE which include the Administrative Secretary, Mihamed Corgay, Project Coordinator, Ibrahim Bangura and Technical Director, Bilor Bah Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th August 2020 visited Mashokoh village, Magboruka and Rogbesseh village in the Tonkolili district.

FANT-SLE Project Coordinator, Ibrahim Bangura told Night Watch Sport that the entire process in the Tonkohlili district went well and that they are looking forward to the next coming five months which will see the similar donations taking place in all ten communities that benefitted in this month’s donation.

200 children from each community received donations of food items, face masks, Veronica buckets and also a one day training workshops organized for coaches and board members of both communities.

A total of 1600 children Under-14 (U-14) from eight communities which include Aberdeen, Murray Town, Congo Town, Goderich, Wilberforce, Hill Station, Kroo Bay and Susan’s Bay in Freetown as well as other 400 children in the Tonkohlili district summing it up to a total 2000 children who have so far benefited from donations which are expected to continue for the next five months.

30 youths (15-35yrs) from each of the 10 communities will also benefits from capacity building within these six months period.
