Alie Michael Kamara and Alie Jalloh have made their first appearance before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh, at the Ross Road Magistrate Court No. 3, for allegedly stealing certain valuable properties. The properties include generator spare parts, six connecting rods and other valuable properties from the United Methodist Church, Urban Centre, Kissy in Freetown. They are worth forty million Leones (Le40,000,000).
The incident occurred on the Thursday 18th February 2021, at United Methodist Church, Kissy in Freetown.
The accused are arraigned before the court on three counts of conspiracy, sacrilege and receiving stolen goods, which are all contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.
According to the police charge sheet, Alie Michael Kamara and Alie Jalloh, on Thursday 18th February, 2021, at United Methodist Church, Kissy in Freetown, conspired together with unknown persons to steal and receive certain viable properties worth forty million Leones (Le40,000,000), which are properties belonging to the UMC.
The police prosecutor, Gibrilla Sesay, sought for an adjournment on the basis that he wanted to have a proper conference with his witness or witnesses. His application was granted by Magistrate Daboh.
The accused were placed on bail and the matter was adjourned to 16th March, 2021.
