Mohamed Koroma, a labourer, and Ibrahim Kamara made their first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on five count charges, to wit, conspiracy to law, attempted murder contrary to Section 14 of the Offences Against the Person’s Act of 1861, two counts of wounding with intent contrary to Section 18 of the same 1861 Act, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 47 of the said Act.
The particular of offence stated that both accused on Wednesday, 1st May 2024, at Boropit Moyamba in Freetown conspired with an unknown person to commit a felony, to wit, attempted murder. Count 2 stated that both accused on the same date and place attempted to murder Gibrilla Kamara.
Count 3and 4 stated that both accused on the same date and place maliciously wounded Gibrilla Kamara with intent to do him bodily harm. Count 5 stated that both accused at the same date and place assaulted Gibrilla Kamara in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty and were unrepresented.
The matter was adjourned to 18th July, 2024.
