Must read

Since the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) won the last elections, there has been huge reported cases of thuggery, intimidation and harassment meted on some opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Party, some of which victims’ whereabouts are unknown. Investigations conducted by this press proved that APC supporters, who actively took part in the last elections, are constantly being attacked across the country.
One of the victims that have suffered a lot from SLPP thuggery is Alusine Samuel Kargbo, who was the personal assistant (PA) to his elder sister, Miata Kargbo, former Minister of Health under the now opposition All People’s Congress Party (APC). He has not only suffered from being an APC Party Executive member, but also as an activist on Social Media, who is being accused of sharing defamatory materials against some senior SLPP officials.
Kargbo has been declared wanted by thugs of the current government SLPP that are armed with offensive weapons as they go in search of the Social Media activist.
It can be recalled on 10th of April 2019, thugs armed with sticks and knives attacked Madam Kadiatu Tarawally, the mother of Alusine S. Kargbo. She was beaten and injured severely, for her to show the whereabouts of Alusine. But Madam Tarawally was able to survive the pains; she passed away on the 15th of April 2019.
Susana F. Gbembo, Alusine’s cousin, has also been declared wanted by members of the secret society, because she refused to be initiated to a bondo society. When she told them that she was not interested, her life became threatened, her condition became worse, and she has to leave the country.
Both Alusine and Susana have to escape from the country for their safety. The whereabouts of Alusine and Susana are still unknown. Family members are now worried about the lives of Alusine and Susana.
According to a source, both of them were last seen in Turkey, Istanbul. The source said they are not even safe in Turkey, concluding that they are heading for a country where they can seek refuge.
