Wife in Court for Stabbing Husband to Death

Isata Bindi has on Friday, July 19th 2025 arraigned before Magistrate Mustapha Briama Jah of Pademba Road Court No.1 for allegedly stabbing her husband to death using a knife.

Bindi was arraigned before the Court on a count charge of manslaughter contrary to law.

The charge sheet indicates that Bindi on Tuesday 13th May, 2025 at Aberdeen Road in Freetown, unlawfully killed Mustapha Bangura. No plea was taken by the accused person because the offense levied against her is grave.

The Prosecutor, ASP Ibrahim Mansaray sought for an adjournment citing the absence of prosecution witnesses before the court, and that he has just received the file on the matter. The matter was adjourned to 21st July, 2025 for hearing.

According to the file, the accused, Bindi and the deceased Mustapha were husband and wife and they were living together with their two children.

The file further reveals that both of them come from the same district in Bo where the relationship was built leading to them getting marriage.

The file further revealed that with time, they started having quarrels and both were not in speaking terms

According to the police file, on the day of the incident, a domestic altercation ensued between the two and the accused Bindi allegedly used a sharp object to stab her husband Bangura leading to his death.
