Isata Bindi, on Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 made another appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah for allegedly stabbing her husband with a knife leading to his death. Bindi is standing trial before the court on a count charge of manslaughter contrary to law.
The charge sheet indicates that Bindi on 2nd April, 2025 at Aberdeen Road in Freetown, unlawfully killed Mustapha Bangura.
During the proceedings the Police Prosecutor, ASP Ibrahim Mansaray informed the court that the Exhibit Clerk who was supposed to be in court to testify and tender the knife the alleged stabbing was done with in court was unavoidably absent as he went on another official assignment.
The matter was therefore adjourned to 10th July, 2025 and the accused remanded in custody for continuation.
