Windfall for Small Bo Chiefdom

The people of  Blama town in the Small-Bo Chiefdom on Wednesday 30th May, 2018 received over ten million leones worth of cleaning tools from the Paramount Chief  to assist them do the regular monthly cleaning exercise summoned  by the President a couple of months ago.

The tools included wheelbarrows, pickaxes, shovels, hoes, head pans, rakes and other tools for the Saturday cleaning.

The Paramount Chief of Small-Bo Chiefdom, Mohamed Dhafie Benya, said the donation was made in line with the pronouncement made by Dr Julius Bio for the recommencement of the Saturday cleaning exercise.

He noted that the chiefdom will demonstrate commitment to the First Saturday cleaning instituted by His Excellency Dr Julius Maada Bio shortly after assuming power as president in April this year.

The Paramount Chief said after the past Saturday cleaning exercise on the 5th of May 2018 his chiefdom people, including youths, came together and requested the Paramount Chief and the chiefdom stakeholders to aid them with some cleaning gadgets so that they can carry out the cleaning on every first Saturday.

PC Benya said, upon receiving the information, he called his sub chiefs and deliberated on the matter and decided to withdraw funds from the chiefdom account for the purchase of the items.

The Paramount Chief, while handing over the items, commended the people of Blama for their usual cooperation in performing chiefdom functions. He promised the people of Small Bo chiefdom that more development was sure to come to Blama under President Bio’s New Direction Agenda.

The Town Chief of Blama, Madam Yaema Kougbaka, thanked the Paramount cChief for donating such items for the cleaning of the township and its surroundings. Madam Yaema promised the chiefs that the items will be utilized for the intended purpose.

She urged the people, especially the youths, to join the cleaning, adding that any body that does not observe the cleaning on Saturday will be dealt with according to law.

Other speakers at the meeting were the Chiefdom Speaker, Chief Mambu Moiwai, section chief of kamboma Saffa Moray and the Treasury Clerk, Mr. Bockarie Sheriff, among others.
