Adamsay Fofanah made her first appearance before Magistrate Augustine Braima Samura of Pademba Road Court No.8 in Freetown on a count charge to fraudulent Conversion contrary to Section 20 (iv)-(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Saturday, 4th October, 2025 at Regent Road, Lumley in Freetown, the defendant, intentionally fraudulently converted to her own use and benefit, the sum of Sixty Thousand Leones (NLe 60, 000) entrusted to her by Sallay Conteh for safe keeping.
When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no was plea was taken.
The defendant who was unrepresented by any legal counsel was denied bail and Magistrate Augustine Samura ordered that she be remanded in custody at the female correctional facility pending the adjourned date of 27th October, 2025 for further hearing.
