Youth Remanded for Alleged Theft at Sky Vision

Joselyn Manley was on Wednesday, 6th August, 2025 sent on remand by Magistrate Sao Mamakoh Kallon of Pademba Road Court No.3 for allegedly stealing valuable properties worth over Ten Thousands New Leones (NLe 10, 000) from Sky Vision College at Wilberforce village.

Manley was arraigned before the Court on a count charge of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

The charge sheet indicates that Manley, on Tuesday, 22 July, 2025 at Sky Vision College at Wilberforce village in Freetown, stole two surface water pumps valued at Five Thousand New Leones (NLe 5, 000), a generator battery worth Four Thousand, Five Hundred and Fifty-seven New Leones (NLe 4,557.00) and other assorted properties all valued at Ten Thousand, Eight Hundred and Fifty-seven New Leones (NLe 10, 857.00) properties of the said college whiles in care of Eric Sam King.

After the charges were read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.

The Prosecutor, ASP Kamara sought for an adjournment that he has just received the case file and has not gone through it as at the time.

Magistrate Kallon ordered that the accused be remanded in custody at the male correctional facility until 11th August, 2025 for hearing of the matter.
