The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Electoral Appeals Committee has nullified the delegate list and all actions stemming from the disputed Falaba District Football Association (FDFA) Executive Elections, originally scheduled for June 2025.

This decision follows a formal appeal submitted by Balla Kargbo, Acting Chairman of the FDFA, citing serious breaches of electoral and ethical standards.

In a judgment delivered by the Appeals Committee, chaired by M.C.L. Stronge Esq., it was determined that the delegate list was published without the knowledge or consent of the FDFA Executive Members. The Committee concluded this constituted a violation of multiple provisions, including Articles 62(3), 66(1), and 66(2) of the 2019 SLFA Statute, Article 1 of the 2012 Electoral Code, and Articles 15 and 16 of the 2020 Ethics Code and Regulations.

According to the Committee, the unauthorized publication undermined transparency, fairness, and democratic integrity in the electoral process. The Committee emphasized that voter lists and delegate approvals must be sanctioned by the relevant executive bodies to ensure legitimacy and procedural integrity.

In response, the SLFA Electoral Committee has been instructed to oversee a new electoral process for both the Falaba and Karene District Football Associations. The rescheduled elections must be conducted under strict adherence to SLFA statutes and must occur no later than July 10, 2025.

Additionally, the Committee ordered all stakeholders to refrain from any further unauthorised interference in the electoral process and mandated the SLFA General Secretariat to provide logistical support for the re-election.
