In Paris… Orange CEOs Hosts President Bio

Chief Executive Orange Sierra Leone, Madam Aminata Kane, has met President Bio in Paris, France and the two held discussions around E-education, smart metering, National Identification, Opal and more.
President Bio who is attending a conference of African leaders in Paris was hosted by Aminata Kane and his delegation in the Orange Lab in Paris, France.
Both delegations discussed how Orange Sierra Leone would further help the President and the people of Sierra Leone achieve their innovation and technological advancement in partnership with the Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI).


President Bio while at the Orange Lab in France was able to see firsthand how the lab operates and what could be possibly brought into Sierra Leone to support his vision.
The President was accompanied by Sierra Leone’s Chief Innovation Officer and Minister designate for Basic and Senior Secondary Education.
Orange Sierra Leone remains the first private sector company to support the President’s flagship project with a USD 1.5 million material support.
Four of the five projects which will be rolled out in the next five years are geared towards supporting the vision of President Bio in nurturing an innovative environment from critical decisions making processes in the country.
The company quite recently launched the first super coding school in the country and plans are also underway to train hundreds of school going children in coding.
