The Commissioner, National Youth commission, Ngolo Katta, has on Thursday 19th December, 2019, told newsmen that 70% of youths that have graduated from the Obasanjo Skills Training Center at Waterloo Western Area Rural in 2018 have all gained employment into different sectors in the country’s economy.
The Youth Commissioner made this disclosure at the Ministry of Information weekly press briefing in Freetown.
He added that, the commission has introduced the concept of youth farms across the country in Bombali, Kambia, Bo, Moyamba, and Kambia Districts.
This he noted is to ensure the equal distribution of job opportunities for youths in the country.
Head of Communications, Madam Millicent Kargbo, revealed that, the commission will be having its first festival from the 26th to 29th December 2019, to show case the talents of youth in the country at the Kallon Car Park, Aberdeen in Freetown and it is intended to improve national cohesion among young people in the country.
